Work In Progress for Dining

I'm LEW SIOW YIN and this is the work in progress report week 8 for Dining

• Description on the individual ideation of the link

The "Dining" link is a sub link of our "Genting Highland" site. Since this is the individual link design by our own so after our meeting we have come out with our own design in our sub link page. Meanwhile, we have decided to use the same background colour and fonts in our website to show the standardization. The idea for Dining would be just simple with easy navigations and straightforward menus and buttons. There would be restaurant picture and vary categories label at the pictures. Visitors would just need to click on the button with the pictures to see more choices in that particular category of restaurant. Each of the restaurant would provide with some brief introduction with it. Visitors can check on their favourite meal or restaurant through this link. Furthermore, there is always a back button easier for visitor to go back the older page or link they want to visit again.

• Objective of the link

Like its name "Dining", the objective of the link is simple, that is to provide description and relevant details about the restaurant in Genting Highland. The link will be provided photos for every restaurant to attract more visitors.

• Design of GUI

Thedesign of the GUI will emphasize uses of pictures and name label to navigate the website. There will be menu buttons created and designed using illustrator or some menu button get from net and the interface design is basically going to be simple and direct. The background color we have decided to use is light green but we will need to adjust again to uniform when everyone of us have done all their link. I have search for many different pictures for the restaurant i'm going to have in my link and some review about the restaurants.

• This is the 1st sketch of my potential GUI. Visitors will be able to check out more restaurant through clicking the picture of each catergories. The font of buttons will be modify through photoshop again.

Photoshop
i didnt use any tools in creating the interface yet because i still thinking about what's the best design for the buttons.

Dreamweaver
this is the software to be used when creating the link. i have design the interface through the tools in dreamweaver. i will find out more functions of it as we got to refer the video on how to use this software by ourselves.

Flash
i haven't learn anything about it yet, therefore i didnt use this tools yet.
